To work in partnership with the community to protect life and property, solve neighborhood problems and enhance the quality of life in our City.

Since 1908, our dedicated men and women have been committed to community-oriented policing and problem-solving, ethical behavior and representing the Constitutional rights of everyone we encounter. The Yuba City Police Department has sworn and non-sworn employees who proudly serve our citizens, working around-the-clock to make our community a better, safer place to live, work and play. Our officers work in six distinct patrol areas while also serving as school resource officers and providing specialized law enforcement through our SWAT unit, canine unit and participation in the Yuba-Sutter Area Gang Enforcement Team. We also rely on dozens of volunteers and train citizens in law enforcement through our Cadet Program, Volunteers in Police Service, and Citizen Academy.
